TAI Kenya strengthens communities to regenerate the land, build sustainable livelihoods, and create healthier, more equitable futures.

Through agroecology, enterprise development, climate resilience, and health & equity programs, we equip women, youth, and smallholder farmers with knowledge, resources, and market connections to thrive in a changing climate.

OUR VISION

A just, healthy, and resilient society where communities — especially women and youth — thrive in harmony with nature.

OUR MISSION

We work with rural communities in Meru and Trans-Nzoia Counties to advance agroecology, sustainable livelihoods, climate resilience, and community well-being through nature-based solutions developed together with the people who live them.

Who We are

A community-based organization, connecting people to nature-based solutions.

At TAI Kenya, we help rural families in Meru and Trans-Nzoia Counties grow what feeds them, earn what sustains them, and protect the land that supports them all.

We work with farmers especially women and youth to grow healthy food using agroecology, because food security and food sovereignty start with the power to grow your own. We help families turn farming into real income through green, sustainable enterprise. We support communities to adapt to a changing climate and protect the land for the next generation. And we work to improve health and advance the rights of women and girls, so no one is left behind.

Every program is built together with the people we serve because change that lasts is change people build for themselves.

Our strategic pillars

Four pillars, one integrated approach to community-led change.

01 / AGROECOLOGY

Sustainable Food Systems

Training women and youth in agroecological, climate-smart farming — building soil health, biodiversity, and food security using indigenous knowledge and digital tools.

02 / ENTERPRISE

Livelihoods Development

Helping women and youth turn agroecology into income — value addition, green enterprise, and market access through digital tools and online marketplaces.

03 / CLIMATE

Resilience & Stewardship

Supporting water conservation and sustainable land use, and building community awareness of climate change through mapping and early-warning tools.

04 / HEALTH & EQUITY

Community Health & Advocacy

Improving maternal and adolescent health, advancing gender equality, and addressing harmful practices through community voice and policy engagement.
